Brewham, Somerset - Marriages to

Trisha and her awesome place helped make our glastonbury experience. We had a very pleasant stay with Trisha in her unusual and quirky home. What an interesting house with all it's nooks and crannies and works of art! Our rooms were impeccably clean and the beds incredibly comfortable. Thank you for having us. Great place in a cute town! Trisha was very welcoming even to our son who was exhausted upon arrival and let the whole neighborhood know. Our daughter, who is usually quite shy, opened up to Trisha immediately.

Her recommendations to adjust the order of our local visits were very helpful as well. Susan was very friendly and helpful. Her home felt like our home especially in the morning when she prepared a really warm breakfast with fresh eggs from her farm.

Village is very cosy and nice to have a walk. We will come back to her house once again! We had a short stay at Susan's place, however the experience beyond our expectations and Susan's hospitality is an icing on the cake. Had a great time, thank you Susan.

Hi I just got back home and must say, even though I know the area quite well, Susan's location is brilliant. She's a great hostess and I would recommend it. Had the weather been better I would have gone for walks, as it seemed the perfect location for that. I didn't want for anything. I chose this location as it was close to the A with private parking- I had a car full as I was moving from Suffolk to Cornwall.

I felt safe and secure as a lone traveller, and was very well looked after. The bedroom was spotless and the bed extremely comfortable. I would stay with Susan again.

We were made to feel very welcome upon our arrival. The house is lovely and very homely with lots of interesting art adorning the walls and situated in a beautiful position within the village with pretty rear garden and rural surroundings.

We were in Batcombe for a friends wedding and it was beyond convenient to make the 5 minute walk to The Three Horseshoes pub before the service that was also located right next to the church! We were treated like friends by Louise and her husband and given a key to the house to let ourselves in after the wedding celebrations. We were greeted in the morning with a wonderful breakfast of croissants and homemade jam, yoghurt, coffees and juice - couldn't ask for more really!

Lovely, friendly, welcoming and accommodating hosts who we would highly recommend if you are looking to stay in the area. If we are ever visiting Batcombe again then we will certainly endeavour to stay with them. Thanks for having us! A really delightful home set in a peaceful part of Somerset.

Louise is very engaging, charming and easy to talk to. Louise was going to be away for my two night stay but she very kindly arranged for me to have the use of an empty cottage across the road.

She left all 4 beds made up for me to choose, of course I choose the one that made me feel like the princess and the pea but without the pea towels, hot water bottle and basic supplies. It was a fairly last minute booking but she found time to get the cottage ready and prepare for her own holiday. Batcombe is a lovely village, very rural and completely dark at night and very quiet, has a good pub which I didn't have time to try.

My first stay through 'airbnb' and an excellent start. Louise was very friendly and welcoming. I felt very comfortable in her lovely home set in the beautiful village of Batcombe.

Her breakfast spread was spot on and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend staying with Louise, this had to be my best Airbnb experience so far! Warm welcome, beautiful house and a lovely breakfast!! Would recommend to anyone you who wants to visit the area as it has stunning views and is easy to drive to. Very charming village and Louise is lovely! Everything largely fine, except that the bathrooms and kitchen needed a proper clean. Directions could have been a little clearer.

Host was very accommodating and helpful about our having children. Had a lovely stay in Louise's home.

The bed was comfortable, warm and quiet and it was great just lying and listening to the birds and the sound of rain on the roof. I only met Louise briefly upon check-in, but found her lovely and very accommodating. Her interesting home has beautiful views and my favourite place was the sofa in the conservatory it's the best place to have breakfast!

It was only a short drive from the shops and the conference I was attending. An absolutely beautiful location and adorable barn conversion. A perfect host who accommodated out awkward 'no bread' diet and recommended some fab restaurants. I thoroughly recommend a relaxing stay here, even with it pouring with rain typical British summer we had a relaxing time looking through all of the books on the shelves and catching up with some much needed sleep.

Had a fantastic couple of days, the barn is so cosy and comfortable that you feel at home straight away. Barbette is a great host - there when you need her, offers great suggestions for places to visit - and makes possibly the best breakfast ever! The bottle of prosecco chilling in the fridge and the baby bath and Steriliser left for us were such lovely thoughts. Am also very envious of all the books, if only we had time to read some!

Will definitely be back, thank you Barbette x. As a first time visitor to Longleat Estate the setting was absolutely perfect; A charming barn conversion surrounded by beautiful countryside where you really get the chance to unwind. Frome is also close by should you wish to visit a local town a quick 10 minute drive.

It is also the perfect base to explore Bath which is a 20 minute drive away. Barbette's attention to detail was second to none! The barn itself offered luxurious surroundings equally balanced with comfort in all of the right places making for a superb stay.

Barbette really was the perfect host she gave us various local recommendations and we had a wonderful meal in the Talbot which made our first evening that extra bit special! Thank you so much for your hospitality! Reeves Barn was a great escape from our busy lifestyle. The location was great and surrounded by beautiful fields.

The barn itself was really well kitted out and very comfy to stay in. The shower is particularly great. Breakfast was delivered in a hamper each morning and was delicious. Barbette was a fantastic host; giving great recommendations for places to eat and visit. Thanks for letting us stay. Had a fantastic stay! Around bed to find the barn candlelit and warmed by a lovely wood burner; Barbette had created a welcoming and cosy atmosphere with such incredible attention to detail.

We opted for a home cooked meal and were so pleased that we did: The location was absolutely perfect for longleat we'd planned a whole day there and could travel door to door in less than 10mins. The landscape was breathtaking and the accommodation was the perfect relaxing setting after a long day out. Gorgeous 'cowshed' toiletries and fluffy bathrobes made the place feel far more luxurious than many of the recommended accommodation options on the longleat website.

An incredible stay with a great host who served us top quality food and generous breakfast baskets both mornings. Thank you so much! Thank you so much for such a lovely weekend, I didn't want to leave! I shall be telling all my friends and familly about this lovely little escape and wonderful host. We have a wonderful stay. After arriving after a long and rainy drive we opened the door to a lit fire, tea and biscuits. The cottage is great, with a little kitchenette, cozy living room with a spacious bedroom and even the bathroom products left out were nice!

The breakfast we got everyday from Barbette was 5 star. It arrived outside our door at our time of choice and included a range of food including: We opted for the 3 course meal cooked by Barbette which was delicious. The surroundings are very peaceful and relaxing and we loved the proximity to Longleat national park , where we spent a fun filled day.

All in All, a great trip. The hosts were great, really helpful with everything. The service was incredible!! Would definitely book again when I'm back in the local area: Another visit and another great stay at this quiet, comfortable and welcoming home. Elizabeth is a kind and considerate host and the house is beautifully decorated and in a very convenient location. I look forward to returning again. We both had such a fantastic stay with the accommodation being so clean, pleasant, and comfortable.

Lovely hosts, faultless accommodation and facilities. Extremely comfortable, clean and reasonably priced. Nothing was too much trouble. I particularly appreciated being able to store my bike in the garage I have stayed in 4 Airbnbs and Elizabeth's is by far the cleanest. Everything is thought through, waters, tea's in room, kettle, towels. The breakfast in the morning was delightful. She and her husband were extremely accommodating throughout even giving us a lift!

Great suggestions and they even made reservations for dinner for us! Wonderful hosts and great breakfast conversation. The place is lovely, our room four poster bedroom was great , spacious and very nice. The on suit was great as well. The area is terribly beautiful and we really felt at home in the house. Megan and her husband are a lovely young couple and were very accommodating. The house is amazing! Really beautiful farmhouse with lots of original features.

The kitchen was also great and the selection of breakfast foods was perfect. Our room was very tasteful with plenty of space and the four poster bed was extremely comfortable. We were made to feel totally at home and relaxed from the moment we arrived and were treated to a delicious cooked breakfast in the morning in the large farmhouse kitchen all of the produce was locally sourced too which was an added bonus!

Megan is a really great host and we would definitely stay with her again. Everything was perfect and she let us check in early too. We would highly recommend staying with Megan. Definitely our best Airbnb experience so far. Megan and Ryan were perfect hosts. Warm welcoming and very friendly and helpful. We were staying here to visit Paul Nichols racing yard in Ditcheat which is just down the road so very convenient. Their farm is beautiful and the farmhouse is stunning with exposed oak beams throughout, exposed stonework and a large inglenook fireplace in the sitting room.

Very cosy and homely. The four poster bed in our bedroom was very comfortable so we slept very well. The en suite shower was very powerful and nice and hot. Would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be staying again next time we are in the area x. We were welcomed by Megan with delicious, warm and homemade scones, what a way to begin your stay. The house and room was pretty and decorated lovely, with beautiful surroundings and country pubs. Thanks for such a great stay! Megan was an exceptional host.

Nothing was too much trouble: The room is big and bright, with a four poster bed, chaise, dressing table and ensuite. We slept soundly and, despite the heat wave, lwere cool and comfortable.

Breakfast was a highlight and even my hungry and hungover husband was filled up on Greek yogurt, granola, fruit and full English. We all loved meeting Megan and Ryan and their dogs my 6 month old most of all and we hope to come back to explore the local area. A charming getaway that was convenient for Gants Mill. Really lovely hosts, a relaxing stay and a wonderful bed and breakfast in a very peaceful location.

Great breakfast with a huge choice. Hosts really welcoming, friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and return to. Jean and Willy were absolutely charming. We had such a nice stay with them and their house was the ideal location for us to attend a wedding close by to Gants Mill. Thank you for having us and wish you both all the best!

I had to unfortunately cancel my stay but Elizabeth was extremely helpful at all times so would definitely recommend her as a great host! This is such a comfatble place to stay. Beautiful house and rooms, generous breakfast and lovely and welcoming host. I stayed in an en suite room on second floor, this is an up to date family home, spotless, and the quality of accommodation exceeds Premier Inn. The property is about 5 minutes from the centre of town and is on a modern housing estate, I had no problems parking there was no traffic noise.

Continental breakfast was provided and even a "pod" coffee. Hospitality was friendly but not intrusive. Camilla and Her husband were very friendly and accommodating. Including leaving the electric blanket on for when we got back The room was lovely and Breakfast was delicious. Camilla and Chris are lovely hosts. We loved staying at Camilla's house. We deeply enjoyed the conversation with our well-traveled hosts. The house feels very special and authentic and is set at a quiet road in the most beautifully preserved little village.

We had a superb breakfast in true country house style in a beautiful paneled dining room. Camilla also made a reservation for us in the local inn were we had a great dinner at their best table in front of the fireplace. We truly felt like we had gone back in time and were guests at a country house. Our stay at Camilla and Christopher's place was absolutely fantastic! Their house is very calm and peaceful, we had the best night sleep. The local pub nearby serves great food and is very cosy.

We went to a huge flea market only 10 minutes away with over stalls. An experience we will never forget! Camilla, Chris and their dog! Absolutely charming home in beautiful countryside. Hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. Comfortable room with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Special mention must go to the wonderful wildlife they keep, great for kids. Their home is beautiful and they welcomed us in with open arms, even making a booking for us at the local pub which was a very short walk away and had great food for later in the evening which was so thoughtful!

We had a lovely time chatting to them - they're such an interesting family - around their log fire, and the breakfast they cooked in the morning was so delicious!! Many thanks for having us, we really enjoyed staying with you!

Camilla and Christopher were fantastic. We were all very pleased with the house and the company. Breakfast was also superb. She was a fantastic host, full of helpful suggestions about things to do and places to eat in the area.

The breakfasts alone were worth the trip! Rachel is such a great host and we enjoyed every minutes during our stay at her farm! The house is near Gillingham rail station, you can easily get there by car or taxi, it takes mins. The farm is peaceful which made us very relax, and the landscape is so beautiful, it is worth to walking around during sunset!

Her house is so stunning and comfy! Rachel is nice, very considerate, helpful and kind, make us very comfortable and just like we stay at our home, but even better!

Everything is perfect and we are lucky! She even lighted up the fireplace for us just for a short breakfast and Breakfast is very delicious! It is a great experience and strongly recommending! What a wonderful place to stay, beautifully clean and comfortable. Rachael was extremely welcoming and friendly giving us plenty of tips for what to do. The breakfast was one of the best bits about it- truly delicious with a great choice.

I will most definitely be returning!! My girlfriend and I arrived in East Lydford having never ventured to Somerset before. Initially I was a little apprehensive as the property looked rather far- out.

But hosts, Lindsey and Derek, were so accommodating that the thought quickly left our mind. Our living quarters were very cosy, and a generous breakfast of bacon, eggs, toast and homemade jam ensured that we always started each day on a full stomach. Unlike a hotel, we were not required to wake up early, and so took the opportunity to catch up on some much needed sleep.

Neither of us drive, but to our pleasant surprise, Derek was quick to offer us lifts everywhere. As a result, we were able to cram in trips to Wells, Glastonbury and Bath - having only initially travelled down to do the East Somerset steam train experience.

On our final day, Derek gave us a tour of the property grounds: Rather, a long weekend with some friendly, helpful hosts. Just what I needed where I needed it. Though the accommodation needs some refurbishment, I enjoyed a warm welcome and terrific breakfast. We felt very welcome, and had a good stay, with everything we needed supplied, and a very nice breakfast with excellent homemade bread and jam. Derek and Lindsey made us feel very welcome with our 9 month old son who loved petting the sheep in the grounds and our bedroom was easily large enough for the travel cot.

Home made sourdough bread and green tomatoe jam for breakfast set us up for the day. We were hopelessly late and still greeted with a warm welcome by Lindsey and Derek. Breakfast was a special treat with homemade bread and preserves in addition to the English Breakfast.

Would love to have spent longer. Everything is so perfect!! The beds are so comfortable with drinks in the room, plenty of public area in and out of the house, big garden and great view from the windows!!

We slept quiet well and breakfast with hot tea and milk, we really had a very pleasant talk and strongly recommend!! Very helpful and communicative hosts. Lovely house close to Glastonbury. Good pub within walking distance. Lindsey and her husband were very welcoming and responded quickly to all my messages. The room was exactly as described and good value. I would stay here again. Dear Barbie and Nick, Thank you for the warm welcome into your fabulous, classical, country home.

We were bowled over by its rich history and awesome grounds. The breakfasts were generous, varied and tasty, and our 9month old was in his element be it trying to pet your lovely little dogs, or out on the lawn enjoying the space and sunshine. You made things effortless for us while we were busy running round getting ready for our friends wedding.

An extra special little thanks to Nick for his historical info re Wells, Glastonbury and not to mention your own bucolic surrounds. Wishing you all the best as a great Airbnb destination! The house and garden are beautiful, their two little dogs are adorable and we will miss all four of them very much!

We definitely want to come back, as soon as possible. And the surroundings offer beautiful sight seeing places as Bath, Glastonbury, Wells, Cheddar Gorge etc. They have lovely house and huge garden with lovely dogs. Breakfast was always ready on time and super tasty. They will help with anything u need and super flexible check in. If u have any questions ask them they are super friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back soon.

We had a great stay here. Barbie is a charming host with a warm welcome with tea served in the garden. Our four year old daughter had a memorable stay also. Barbie and Nick are amazing host! The place is incredible! A wonderful garden, a pound , tennis court; a peaceful place not far from the center. You need a car to get it but it absolutely worth it!

Family room was big with full essentials, milk, coffee and tea. We enjoyed the chatting, a delicious cooked breakfast and their lovely company.

The train carriage, although sharing a field with others, feels like it's own little haven. We can't wait to come again: Hi - we had a great time and the weather was good so that made it perfect. Very relaxing and quite - glad to be away from all mod cons. Woukd definitely recommend and go back x. What a magical place. We had a delicious quiet night - much needed after a hectic few days of travel. Loved the peace of the field and the candlelit evening. Cosy, comfy and very welcoming. Thank you so much!

We had a great time in Bryony's carriage even when it lashed down with rain for 24 hours! It's quirky and comfortable and the location is perfect; peaceful and quiet though Lyme Regis and Bridport are close by.

We were warm and cosy with the log burner on and the beds were toasty and comfy. Bryony was super helpful with suggestions and tips.

A beautiful spot, with enormous rustic charm! From the lovely railway carriage, to the quirky homemade tap for the outside loo - lots to delight the kids and peace and quiet countryside for us to enjoy. Bryony was a very helpful host, lots of information in advance. We only wished we'd booked to stay longer! Such a special place. Really cosy with all you need - lots of lovely little touches such as cushions and lanterns. Certainly is all about connecting back to nature with no electricity and a composite toilet.

I booked a massage with Bryony and a family yoga session - both were amazing. My girls loved the yoga session and my husband even enjoyed it his first ever experience. We also ordered a breakfast hamper for first day which was full of lovely things such as River Cottage yoghurt, fruit, granola and pastries.

Only complaint was the rain! A beautiful spot for a complete getaway from modern life apart from the shower which was a godsend! Very well supplied with crockery, cutlery, pans, bbq equipment and very clean bedding on comfy beds. A great option to re-charge your batteries. Find Trains in North Brewham on Airbnb. A peaceful and cosy retreat, overlooking a lake and adjacent to pastures. The cabin has a double bed, a cosy sitting room with log burner, where you can relax amidst throws, fur rugs and cushions. In the rear of the cabin there is an equipped kitchen.

A microwave, table top hob and fridge mean you can either cook inside or on the barbecue out on the decking. The bathroom is sizeable with a walk in shower, loo and sink. Feel free to explore our 14 acre plot - wild and woolly but nature reigns! Cows in the field beyond the cabin, horses in the adjacent paddock, chickens roam freely, and wild ducks, coots, moorhen and geese make themselves at home on the lake. We are very lucky to see kingfisher whizzing over the water and water-voles in the banks.

We live at the end of a long drive in the tiny hamlet of Nind. There is a Spar shop a 3 minute drive away in Kingswood and there are numerous pubs in the local vicinity which provide a wide range of eating experiences! Cosy converted railway wagon by lake. Magical carriage for you to unwind and relax in nature.

They have also two adorable pups: Poppy and Peeble whom our daughter was in love with! We definitely recommend it and we must come back to play croquet all together! If you need to stay in a strategic place: You reach Bristol, Wells and Glastonbury in very few driving. Barbie is a friendly and helpful host. We stayed in the flat at the top of the house which was really convenient for catering for our 7 month old baby as there was enough space and kitchen facilities.

Cracking location, 5 mins from town, an amazing house, really lovely hosts who no way was intrusive. I was made felt at home and welcoming as so as I arrived. The Contact messaging before I arrive was spot on and we agreed a arrival time and host was their to meet me when I arrived. What wonderful and accommodating people.

Very friendly, helpful and lovely to be around. My room was lovely and clean and I had my own sitting room. Although we all spent a great evening in the garden chatting. Friendly atmosphere Good conversation Breakfast each morning Clean and comfortable A good nights sleep.

We loved staying in Clea's house, it's a beautifully quirky place and we were treated to a very warm welcome. Comfortable bed, lovely breakfast and very peaceful location. We recommend Clea as a host - and her home to stay - without reservation.

Anna was welcoming, kind, and the accommodation perfect for a convenient overnight stay! Thank you for sorting out on such short notice. I will be back and would highly recommend! Very nice cosy place in the beautiful country side. I really enjoyed staying there. Anna is a super nice and friendly host. The cottage is cosy and very clean and Anna was very welcoming, friendly and helpful, I appreciate the thoughtful attention to detail such as fresh flowers in the room, use of the kitchen and food in the fridge.

Anna's home is lovely. It's a great place to stay. Anna and Tony are really kind and welcoming, and will do whatever they can to make your stay comfortable. They very kindly invited me to eat dinner with them on the one night I stayed and this was perfect as it was a flying visit as part of a cycle down to Glastonbury Festival under 10 miles away. As I was only passing through I didn't get a chance to walk around the area too much but I know it's a very beautiful part of the world and I'm sure it would make a great base if you're visiting the Mendips.

Breakfast was good and varied, and I couldn't ask for more overall during my stay. It was a pleasure to meet Anna, who is a gracious and witty host. A late night arrival, room in the fridge, coffee on the go and an interesting chat were all readily available. Accommodation was just the job for a stayover before a sporting event the following day, and directions to the location were spot on.

Castleton house was truly a "luxury" bed and breakfast. Attention to detail was obvious in the quality of the linen, towels and the facilities of the room. Mere is a beautiful village with lovely places to eat and relax. Gail is an attentive but not intrusive host and the breakfast was fabulous, one of the best I have ever had!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this establishment and I would certainly stay again. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever stayed in. My cousin and I received a friendly welcome into their home by both Gail and her husband. Our room was relaxing and comfortable with everything we needed provided even down to an alarm clock.

Despite being on the main road in Mere there was no through traffic and we were able to park outside the front door which was a bonus. The breakfast was laid out beautifully with plenty of choice available and cooked perfectly.

Thank you Gail for a very pleasant stay in your lovely home. Had a lovely but short stay with Gail. Although we unexpected arrived very late due to flight delays we were welcomed warmly and settled in to our lovely and well appointed accommodation. Breakfast in the morning was tasty and plentiful with local and homemade produce. Thank you Gail for your kindness. This place was fantastic. The house is really close to the station as well, easy access for travelers wanting to go into Bath, etc.

I stayed for about a week; Lauren and Nicky made me feel right at home. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to stay in the area. Nicky was very welcoming and friendly. The description of the accommodation was accurate. The neighbourhood was very pleasant and even though close to the town centre was very quiet.

I did not meet Lauren but she was helpful and responded quickly when we were making arrangements for my stay. I found Nicky most hospitable and helpful even before I arrived. The fact that I was arriving late did not disturb her, which was generous. I found the room and the house most comfortable and stylish. I had to chase the cat out from under my bed at 1am but that was just an aside.

I slept very well. Once I pointed myself in the right direction I found the house very easily. Convenient for the centre of Frome as well as good connecting roads out to Bath and anywhere else in Somerset. The room was very comfortable, with all the facilities necessary for my 3 day stay. Kind and helpful hosts, enjoyed my chats with Lauren and would highly recommend this Airbnb. Find Bed and breakfasts in North Brewham on Airbnb.
