The trees were filled with Baltimore Orioles! Loons seranaded us by night! You could not ask for better accommodations! So many great amenities. Lots of room and comfortable sleeping. The game room is great! Fishing was pretty good and even caught some off the dock! Great cabin for us as we used 2 different cabins.

East Battle lake was great for fishing and not real busy with boaters while we were there in late July. Caught some fish right off of the dock also brought along a little fishing boat which allowed us to explore other areas of the lake.

Game room was a nice place to gather and watch a soccer game and play some of the games while there. Nice and quite area so the "littles" could sleep without too much noise from others.

The cabins are what I like in a cabin not too big but big enough, more of a rustic interior but very nice. Everything worked as expected. Everyone loved the cabin. Pictures dont do it justice. We had a great family vacation at Karry's cabin. The cabins are well maintained and the property was spacious. The kids had a blast catching many fish off the dock and swimming in the lake, especially playing on the Lilly Pad.

The game room was also a huge hit, for kids and adults. Everything you would want for a relaxing and fun lake vacation! The house was perfect for my family, and many commented that we should try to get the house again next year! Great location and nice house. Staying here with my friends was great. We had plenty of space to sleep and hangout. Would definitely book again!

Plenty of space, great amenities, and super cute. A wonderful and convenient place for a travelling family. Very clean, old home charm, convenient location. Great stay for our group of 12 ladies for our annual weekend. Would consider coming back. While traveling for business, I booked both upstairs and downstairs for myself and coworkers.

Nice house in a quiet neighborhood. We loved it here. We had a really nice family vacation and really enjoyed the privacy. Hope to return next summer! The outdoor space was gorgeous! There was very little for lighting outside, so we had to use flashlights we brought ourselves to keep from tripping on the stairs when we left the fireplace at the end of the night. As shown in the pictures, there is an entire flight of stairs that you must take to get to any of the outdoor features.

Because this, I would not recommend the place if you have any kids in your group under the age of ten. We had to manual move the row boat to the water and back which could present problems for groups who do not have a few strong individuals. Life jackets were provided which was greatly appreciated. Firewood was also provided. The main issue outdoors though was that the slats on the deck are far enough apart that the legs of the provided deck chairs can fit through them.

A member of our party found this out the hard way when he went to scoot his chair back and the back legs went through the deck. The inside of the house had numerous spiderwebs with spiders in them in nearly every room. There were no curtains in any of the bedrooms or the bathroom the bathroom window was large enough to see someone entirely through and overlooked the driveway, so it was a major issue.

The water was highly metallic smelling and because of that we were not comfortable with drinking it. While it is not unheard of for a cabin as such as this to have an issue with the water smelling, it should have been disclosed. Our family had a wonderful time there! The lake was great for our grandson! He loved that he could touch so far out! We got our limits of Sun fish too!

This was a great place to stay. There is a boat lift for small boats so you can keep your boat right there and the home is clean and well stocked with pans and knives and other things you may have forgotten.

There is a fish cleaning station on site and a nice fire pit. Great, comfortable place to stay in a very pretty, super location.

Lynn was extremely helpful and pleasant. Couldn't ask for more! What a great stay! We loved that we had everything we needed for our stay. We especially loved having the use of the kayaks and paddle boat. The lake is shallow for a good distance, which was perfect for the kids. We happened to catch some bass, perch, and sunfish in the boat. We would definitely come back! Great place to stay, we had a blast. They provided everything we needed and more.

Lynn is very nice and great to work with. Hope to come back again. We had such a good time at the cabin! With all the amenities and the beautiful house it really was a great weekend. This house on Milton was awesome great fishing location great access to Lake and other amenities we were glad to have lynn as a host she treated us very well and we needed for nothing thank you Lynn.

Lovely space, beautiful property, and just a bike ride from Glendalough. We stayed for a long weekend and it was the perfect introduction to the Battle Lake area. Penny and Blayne did an excellent job getting the house ready for my big family. There was more for us to do around there then we could do in the 3 days we stayed. The house was more than perfect and the special extras was an added bonus. This made a great family get away and we are already planning another trip.

Wow this was such a great stay for our entire family. Anything and everything we could have ever thought we needed was provided. And I mean it - this place was better stocked and supplied than my own house. We had 6 adults and 1 child with us and we had plenty of room.

Penny and Blayne were such wonderful hosts. They left us supplies to make s'mores and even let us pick fresh veggies and herbs from their garden. We had access to both lakes via the creek with the provided motor boat. Secluded and quiet, we saw lots of wildlife and birds. And I want to go back and lay in the hammock This property had everything you could possible need.

Owners were very responsive. Any questions you could possible have were answered in their welcoming letter. This gorgeous home is on a creek between two excellent fishing lakes. Penny and Blayne thoughtfully left us some s'mores supplies and some of their homemade mead. We had a large group but we were all perfectly comfortable. Everyone enjoyed the opportunity to kayak and canoe in the creek.

Penny and Blayne welcomed us with a very helpful, descriptive letter, as well as a small, personalized gift to help us enjoy our stay. They were always available and responded quickly to any questions we had about the property or the surrounding area. Once we arrived, we found many fun, leisurely activities were right at our feet to help us enjoy our time that we did not originally anticipate would be available to us. It was also nice to know our hosts happened to be staying near by should we require assistance.

The setting was very private, yet easy to find. Serene and down right beautiful. Such clean, quick access to a sandy bottom creek with the very unique access to two lakes by way of the creek really set the place apart for us. Not being surrounded on all sides by other cabins or bombarded by lake traffic were a huge plus. The property and home themselves were immaculate.

Very spacious, as well as fully equipped to function for our group. Clean, comfortable, quiet, spacious, and fun. Close to too many attractions to partake of in just a weekend. A great place where one immediately felt at home and welcomed. Hospitality, communication, and accommodations were all premium quality! What a great place to stay, absolutely loved it We will definitely return! Wish we lived there: This Stony Point home offered everything we needed.

The home is very spacious, clean and welcoming. The kitchen has everything anyone would ever need with special treats for our stay. The grounds are meticulously kept, and it is a very peaceful.

Top notch hosts made us feel very welcome and were very responsive. We had a great 5 night stay at this lake house. This is a spacious home and had more than enough space for our party of George was quick to respond, very flexible and easy to work with!! Beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. There were plenty of towels for days. We enjoyed the best surround sound, deck, large screen TV's and comfy beds.

The yard is decent sized except it has a steep drop-off which makes it challenging for small children to really enjoy. Overall, we loved our time here and would highly recommend!! Location right on the lake with beautiful sunsets. Near to town and any supplies necessary, including a great meat market! Home includes wood pellet grill, fire pit, and super nice beds and furniture. Indoor and outdoor living spaces provide perfect balance for large groups and quiet time.

A truly Great MN Lake experience. Hands-off owner but very responsive to needs. I would highly recommend his place! It worked great for our 3 families to be together and have nice weekend together!

George is a fantastic host with a top notch home. He is great about checking in and making sure everything is going well. Chris' Northern Island was an amazing retreat from the rush of everyday life. We loved that although we tried to bring everything we needed, Chris still had most things on hand just in case. The island is laid out perfectly for relaxing, the cabins are absolutely beautiful and well crafted, the thoughtful touches were extraordinary, and access to the lake was easy, secluded, and perfect for little ones.

The island also felt safe for little ones and mostly child proof. Overall our stay on Chris' island was wonderful and we would love to come back next year! The island is great, your own land with 2 bunkhouses with kitchens, sauna house, 4 season porch house and many amenities, it's great. Chris was wonderful and I can't wait to head back. Great Northern Island was fantastic. I brought my church youth group up for a week away and community building.

The location couldn't have been better. The sleeping accommodations worked wonderfully. There was plenty of room for serving meals for a large group. We had group meetings in the "safari" room at least that's what we called it. A large screened in living room that allows you to be outside but away from the bugs.

My favorite place on the island. The lake is quiet with only a few fisherman. The kids enjoyed many kayak expeditions. I booked well in advance and Chris was very proactive about making sure our stay would be a successful one. I will definitely put the Great Northern Island on my short list for future outings. The island is absolutely phenomenal. There are 2 spacious cabins, a sauna cabin and a screened room, called the tea room. There are two docks and a great fire pit area.

The swimming beach was great, very sandy and not too deep if you have small children. The property easily accomodated our group of 9, plus 2 dogs.

I highly recommend booking Great Northern Island. Also, the fishing was great. Chris, the owner was very responsive to all of our questions, and communicated with us very quickly!

The Island was beyond our expectations!!!! Great Northern Island offered so many opportunities to enjoy time with family and friends! From board games on a rainy night to catching fish on the quiet lake; there was plenty of space and activities so we didnt have to go far to have fun! I appreciated Chris's communication and responsivess to our needs. It was evident that our experience was important to Chris.

The layout on the island was impressive, and I highly recommend Chris's place for a group getaway. My family can't wait to go back! First of all, the pictures don't do the place justice. The Great Northern Island is borderline luxury lake-house. There are two immense cabins near the center of the island, each with its own kitchen, fireplace, flush-toilet bathroom, bedroom with a door, and loft sleeping area.

Close by is a screened-in on all four sides hang-out cabin. There is a sauna that also has a bunk room attached. There is a gazebo, a beautiful fire pit area, every yard game you can imagine and enough beautifully manicured lawn to play them all at the same time. The beach area is fantastic; a short sandy shore before a nice drop-off to the swimming raft I spent most of my island time in this area.

The lake is great for fishing too, a lot of nice structures on the shorelines docks, rocks, downed trees. Unfortunately we stayed here toward the end of the summer, so I have to wait a whole year to book again; however, I might be making a winter ice fishing exception. I literally cannot wait to get back to The Great Northern Island. This place is amazing. I recommend it for anyone that has a large family and wants a place for everyone to go. The cabins are wonderful and have great charm.

The grounds are well maintained and is nice to just walk around. The lake has great fishing. Chris is a wonderful host and very helpful. Fabulous time, enjoyed the cabin and the lake was beautiful , would love to do it all over again! This was our second year in a row having a girls weekend at Florian's place. It was just as great this year. It's clean, has everything you could need, and Florian and his granddaughter are friendly and helpful.

We'll be back again next year! Florian's cabin is in a nice private setting with great views of Burr Lake and the Burr vineyard. In addition to two bathrooms in the cabin, there is also one of the nicest outhouses I've ever seen just a few steps from the cabin. We had a great time! Florian was an excellent host. He was available for questions and made our stay memorable. Florian'a home was clean and comfortable with the vineyards adding a special touch to our stay.

The grounds are beautiful and the home very inviting. We had a wonderful stay. This cabin is wonderful! Florian was a gracious host, greeted us warmly, and showed us everything we needed to know. The cabin is comfy and well appointed. We loved the windows overlooking the trees.

The grounds are lovely and fun to explore. We did a wine tasting at the vineyard and it was so fun to just walk out the door and be in the vineyard. We loved the cabin! It was cozy, with plenty of room. Excellent bird watching from big windows overlooking the lake. The vineyards are gorgeous and there are great paths to wander about on. Swimming and fishing opportunities nearby.

Florian was a gracious host, and responsive to all our questions and needs. Florian is a fabulous host! His log home is filled with incredible touches and is in the perfect tranquil setting. Florian was an amazing host! Must do a wine tasting when you stay! This home was great for a family getaway. It was spacious and located on a quiet lake. The lake was clean and peaceful.

No AC took some getting used to. The owners were very responsive to text messages and tried to be as helpful as possible. We ran out of basic supplies such as toilet paper and laundry detergent and had to run to the store to purchase, but the owners explained that another party had been there days before and must have gone through it. The previous party must have been big, because the trash bin outside was filled to the top, making it hard for us to fit our trash.

I would recommend asking the owners to walk through the property in between parties to ensure things are stocked and cleaned. The fire alarm batteries ran out during our stay, but the owners had the right batteries on hand so we were able to locate it and replace them. Cleaning on the last day took a lot of time. I would much rather pay a cleaning fee so I could have enjoyed my last day with my kids. Despite some hiccups in our stay, my entire family never ran out of things to do.

My kids loved the water activities and when they ran out of energy they enjoyed some downtime on the xbox. I would recommend this home for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. I was in Alexandria for a family reunion in early September and did not take advantage of the lake, which is really great.

The property is great for groups; however, the stairs going to the bedrooms are quite steep and two of us could not maneuver going up and especially down, so only one of the bedrooms was used during our visit. The downstairs fixtures kitchen sink and bathroom fixtures were quite stained and need to be replaced. Otherwise, the property was relatively clean and well equipped and appropriate for a younger group. The space is very large and accommodating to large groups.

There was plenty of space for our group of six adults and two children. The kitchen was well-stocked and we were able to prepare our meals in comfort and the way we wanted to. There was a big dining room table where we could all take our meals together and we spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking the lake.

There are neighbors, but we really didn't see or hear anything from them, so it felt more secluded than it really was. Karen is very generous to allow guests to use their lake toys. There are kayaks, canoes, floaties, fishing poles, etc. Our family felt that this greatly increased the value of our stay. We got to have fun on the lake without making extra purchases or rentals.

I agree with the previous reviewer that there are a lot of personal items in the home photos, religious iconography, and random odds and ends that I'm not generally used to when staying in AirBnB properties. Additionally, there isn't air conditioning on the property, which would have been no problem with a lake breeze, but several of the windows are inoperable lacking screens or painted shut.

The check-out procedures were also more than I am accustomed to in AirBnB, especially when being charged a cleaning fee. We felt we spent all our time the morning of check-out doing laundry and making sure beds were remade, etc. It was a little more like borrowing a house from a friend rather than a typical AirBnB stay.

Overall, we had a nice stay at Karen's place and felt it was a good value. This property is in a nice "neighbourhood" which looks like a combination of permanent and summer homes. Is very quiet, over a nice little lake and only 8 min from Garfield which makes it very convenient for shopping. We were 7 and had plenty of space in this house. Karen let me bring my little dog for as long as we kept her in the back porch and outside.

The back porch is a closed room so that the doggy could sleep indoors. I am grateful for this. The water is from a well and has an odour.

Bring your own water if it doesn't suit you. Be aware that the owner's personal supplies are in the property. She made enough room for our stuff so we were fine. However, my preference is for no personal items at all because I worry about things getting mixed up. The rest of the party was fine with it. Make sure you read Karen' very specific instructions for house keeping. Discover entire homes and private rooms perfect for any trip.

Will be back Dan T My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families with kids , and big groups. We have went to swinger clubs in vegas and had 3 somes with my friends But we also needed to be kinda discrecte because of my profession. Im not a social butterfly by anymeans but im well off with liquid courage.

He says hes forgot how to talk to woman and feels kinda nervous We wana be able to go to a bar or someplace and be able to find someone. Can you give me advise on how to pick up a woman and bring her home with us. What do we say?

What are signs that maybe other swingers know? Any help would be great. Were just looking to be able to have fun with someone besides my friends. You guys want to come over and watch swing tonight on Playboy TV? Your mother in law is off limits, so don't get any ideas!

Don't you love it when families get closer together on swingular It's the worst bar on the island and it's only a matter of time before it closes. The owner is the rudest person we've ever met and it trickles down to his bartenders. No smiles, no hellos, no nothing, just give us your fucking money.

He wouldn't know what a swingers club was if it smacked him on the back of the head. Debra's place was perfect for my daughter, granddaughter and I.

We came to Alexandria for my father's 80th birthday. There was a total of 10 family members that came from out of state and they all said they wished they had rented a place like what we had at Debra's. The place was spacious and clean and we were close to my dad's place. I would rent from Debra again. Rocky and Debra have a roomy and well appointed apartment. You have everything you will need for your stay in Alexandria.

They are within a couple of blocks from a great park and not far from downtown and all of the shops. Great place to stay! Debra and Rocky are great hosts Accomadations were clean and very comfortable Very welcoming hosts, both Rocky and Debra.

Made us feel at home. The place, although not luxurious, was spotless, well taken care of, and with a hint of home. The place is in a neighborhood, not really a touristic spot, but close to downtown, the beach, and a good bike trail. Enjoyed sharing gardening tips with Rocky. To find a flaw would be to nitpick. Breakfast was generous and delicious. Hosts were cheerful and helpful. Neighborhood is quiet, quaint and good for walks. We had a great time in Alex. The hosts were very friendly and The apartment was roomy and sunny.

The bed and bed linens were super comfortable. Location was great - in walking distance to downtown and a walking trail around the lake. Very dog friendly environment and close to a dog park, too! Would definitely come back.

We had a very nice stay at Rocky and Debra's. Variety of breakfast items to start the day. Upstairs apartment that has everything you need, kitchen, full bathroom, living room and Cable TV to catch whatever. We had such a fantastic time. Loved how quaint the house was. We would love to come back! Rocky and Debra made me feel welcome. The place was quiet and relaxing. Debra was so nice. She met us at the house gave us the lay of the land and told us where the dog park and local grocery store was.

The space was huge! We definitely didnt need all the space but it was nice and our dog was very comfortable. Thank you so much! You all were so accommodating to our needs and welcoming. We came for a planning retreat. Rocky welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed the space so much and we're able to cook our meals there and enjoy the beautiful bonfire at night. The space was so gorgeous, clean, and easy to find and fit the needs of retreat very well.

Only complaint is some ants on the counter that seemed to find everything. Comfortable beds and yummy breakfast! This is an older addition so you should keep that in mind. The beds and the towels were great. It was nice to have the breakfast items ready for us to use when we arrived. They were very accommodating and great with communication. I would definitely recommend staying here. We have stayed here now for two years in a row and loved it as much as we originally did.

We had a very pleasant stay; my kids love the treehouse!! The house was very organized and very clean. Mark provided a detailed direction to his house. My family loved the breakfast their provide as well! We stayed at Mark and Heather's for a baseball tournament. Upon arrival, Mark greeted us and showed us around as the boys ran to the tree house. We loved the beautiful outdoor space! There was cold water in the refrigerator and snacks along with breakfast food waiting for us.

The layout was perfect for 2 families with 5 children. We made good use of the full size kitchen and refrigerator and made our meals rather than eating out. The oven is not as updated as the rest of the wonderful space, but we're not chefs and and it worked well for us. Mark checked in with us before he left on Saturday and wished the boys good luck and reminded them to stay hydrated.

The beds are very comfortable and the pull our couch is a brand new and has a temperpedic type mattress. There is a private garage and additional parking for another car. The best thing, everyone had enough space, siblings got along and the kids even put their phones away and played some of the games that were on the shelves!! Mark is very responsive and available if you have any questions.

Mark and Heather were wonderful hosts. Even tough they stay on the property, we had a private entrance and they let us keep to ourselves. The treehouse and fire pit was a lot of fun for our family. Mark even provided additional wood which was unexpected.

Would highly recommend staying here. Beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood! Comfortable beds, with plenty of room for our group of 7 guests! Great location, close to coffee and the lakes! Would recommend anyone to stay here! The sunroom was our favorite. The fireplace was a great added touch when the weather did not cooperate.

This lake house is large and can accomodate 9 people easy. The kayaks and paddle boards were fun. The bedding and towels provided, clean. We all slept great on comfortable beds. The kitchen was well stocked for our cooking needs. Fire pit was great with all the adirondack chairs provided. Jennifer was a fantastic host! The property was clean and a lot larger than I had expected, the picture do not do it justice! There were paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, bikes, and yard games all for our use.

The kitchen was stocked with just about anything you'd need. Plenty of towels both beach and bath to use throughout the weekend. We even asked Jennifer if they happened to have any marshmallow roasting sticks, which she said no, and then no more than 30 minutes later she went out and bought some and brought them over! The owners were around, as they share the same dock area, but we were not bothered by them at all, plus they helped us right away any time we had questions.

The hill is pretty steep going down to the water, so be warned that it may not be well suited for elderly or anyone with physical disabilities. We had a great time thanks to the fabulous property and beautiful weather! Beautiful home, wonderful location.

Really enjoyed the fire-pit, watching the fire flies in the evening. The lake was perfect. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay!

Jennifer's home was warm, open, clean and cozy. Lots of space to entertain our extended family of 9. We had a winter getaway and her yard leading up to the lake has a great sledding hill!

With the back porch and side fire pit, this home would be great any time of year. The house was well stocked with spare linens and towels, air mattresses, comfortable beds and was all around the perfect space for generations young and old to enjoy.

The seclusion of the "no outlet" road, was also very nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of busy little Alexandria. Will definitely be staying there again! What a fantastic family trip! Jennifer's place has everything you could hope for at the lake, plus all the amenities of home. The home was a great value and we will definitely rent again!

The home is well equipped with almost everything you might want. Jennifer's place far exceeded our expectations. The house was beautiful, clean and filled with lots of thoughtful amenities. The property provided us with lots to do, from kayaking and disc golf to bonfires and walks through the woods. We already booked our stay for next year. This place is amazing and Jennifer is a great host!

So much to do at the lake home there is no need to leave. The kayaks and paddle boards were a hit with our adult children. The master bedroom is very large and spacious. No need to bring lawn chairs as Jennifer has plenty of outdoor seating.

The house is well equipped for all of your cooking needs. Would definitely rent this place again! The home feels very much like you've gone to stay with relatives. The bathroom is functional but not luxurious. There is no door to the basement so there isn't as much privacy as we would have liked. The overall stay was pleasant enough.

John was very friendly. Great space for the price. Fully furnished kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals. Nice location on the lake. What a great home to spend some quiet time in. Very easy to get to and the communications with Margaret was perfect. Margaret and her husband were great hosts. Interesting, dedicated, kind, humanistic people. And their guest suite is lovely and quirky with an amazing view and lake access! A beautiful setting on the Lake, and only minutes from downtown made our stay with Margaret perfect while my husband was in the local hospital for surgery.

Cute apartment with comfortable beds. Very cozy for a weekend getaway with some girlfriends. However, it was a hot weekend and the air conditioning did very little to cool the upstairs. It was close to downtown and very easy to find. An older, modest home, very clean and comfortable, and well supplied. We just rented the upstairs; air conditioner or ceiling fan in every room made it very comfortable. Scott and Selena were very responsive to every question. Great location, in a nice residential neighborhood just a short walk blocks from the downtown and its shops and restaurants, and within walking distance of parks and the Central Lakes trail.

We would definitely stay here again. It was exactly as described. Perfect location if you want to do some antique shopping! Very charming place to stay and so close to everything downtown!! The duplex is exactly as described, tastefully decorated and cozy - perfect for two couples. Thanks for a great stay!! Updated decor, utensils and appliances. Great location for accessing downtown. Was a really cute vintage place! Nice tv with roku, very nice feature! They answered any questions quickly, and were very nice!

This was a fantastic place for a weekend getaway. The house is nice and the view is even better. There was plenty of space for 6 adults and would even have been comfortable with a few more. Elaine was great at communicating before hand. We will definitely be back!

Great views, spacious house with large windows overlooking the lake. Nice fire pit and sitting area outdoors. Sufficiently equipped place even marshmallow making sticks were available. Good location and close to the small grocery store. We really appreciated the kayaks. Communication was clear and thorough from the time of booking to a quick post-trip check in message! We love the location and the property- just enough space and privacy to feel like you're "getting away". We enjoyed our stay and the host made it a very pleasant trip for us!

The cabin itself is dated as in the description- this isn't a new build by any means with older decor and furnishings. We didn't mind, but discerning travelers who have an eye for interior design and decorating might find it lacking. All in all, this was a great trip and the host was very pleasant and communicative! Great place to stay. Pretty lake side property. Two very large living spaces for multiple uses. Elaine is very easy to communicate with. Very nice fire pit with all of the supplies you need.

Very "cabin in the woods" feel. Very comfortable rooms and beds. The pictures on the listing represent the home well. Lake front not ideal for swimming but still works. Just so long as you don't mind a little algae at the bottom of the water and not a ton of beach then it works just fine.

However the lake side was still beautiful and very nice for an afternoon by the lake. We very much so recommend staying here. If you want to fish on Lake Irene you'll need to launch and land your boat each time as there is no dock space available for you. It was unsettling for me to have the refrigerator full of their food. I felt like I was infringing on someone else's privacy. The house is very nice.

A great lake place retreat, we loved the bon fire pit, fishing from the dockn produced large sunfish and plenty bass, took the kayak for a spin. A short drive to public launch at Lake Miltona.

Internet access was a plus. In town for business trip, so was not able to enjoy four wheeling trails or kayaking rivers, but could not have asked for a more serviceable house. The house had all the modern conveniences, but in a lovely rural setting.

We enjoyed two nights sitting by the fire and even had a bald eagle fly right over us. The chickens were quite a hit for the whole family, and the kayak trip was an unexpected treat! Our hosts were wonderful - thank you!! This was the perfect setting for a family gathering while we were in the Wadena area for a Celebration of life for our Aunt Ceil. The peaceful and lovely setting was perfect for sharing memories of growing up on a farm and stories of family past and present. We enjoyed morning coffee around the fire in the backyard while we said good morning to the chickens and watched the sun rise over the fields.

We enjoyed an adult beverage around the fire each evening while we shared stories and viewed the night sky in the absence of city lights. This would be a perfect setting for families with children who want to experience running and playing in the backyard surrounded by open country with seldom a car on the road in front of the house.

Interacting with the lovely flock of chickens and gathering eggs for breakfast was a real treat. My 75 year old sister hopped on one of the bikes for the first time in 40 years to ride up the road and we all enjoyed playing Frisbee and the walk to the creek.

This would also be a wonderful setting for my ladies group or even for a couple who wanted to get away from city life and enjoy the rural atmosphere. Thank you to Greg and Mary for making our stay a pleasant interlude in life. We had a wonderful experience in the farmhouse. We were in town for our Son's wedding and it was important to us to have enough space for our whole family to stay together.

The Farm was perfect. My 2 yr old granddaughter had the time of her life chasing and feeding the chickens. Collecting eggs for breakfast every day. The town of Wadena is close by and has everything you need.

The kitchen was bigger than expected and was also another important part for our family. We like to cook together and sit around a big table to share our meals and our day. Thank you Mary and Greg for a wonderful stay.

In gratitude, Todd and Lori. I hate to share my opinion, because I'm afraid booking this lovely place will be impossible once I do! I stumbled upon this place, liked the online photos, but it is so amazing in person! Clean, well appointed, tasteful decor with a historical touch.

From the baseboards to the light fixtures, we were transported back to our younger years and summers at my grandma's farm-history of the family that owned it in bygone eras was shared via old photos-great touch!

And the chickens, fresh Website hidden by Airbnb family loved the amazing taste of fresh eggs. Lastly, the Malone's were excellent hosts and made us feel right at home! There's a beautiful creek, bicycles to ride, a tree swing, tubing, fire pit, frisbee targets, and peaceful breezes Greg and Mary are amazing hosts.

The farmhouse is gorgeous and they have everything you might need. So much to do and we adore the chickens. We will be back! This is a lovely old home converted into a duplex. The floors are a little squeaky, the alcove a little quirky, and the shower a little short. It was great fun and my tall family and I enjoyed our three days here very much! Lots of space for privacy or hanging out together, plenty of room for cooking and eating, and some thoughtful touches in every room from board games and books to a little first aid kit.

The upstairs unit was full during our stay but we never bumped into the family up there or had any issues with their noise. This is a nice space with a lot of old school charm. We enjoyed coming back here in the evenings. It felt home-y and had plenty of space for our group of five. Everything that's important to a traveler is taken care of.

Clean towels, hot water, good mattresses, quiet neighborhood, great TV! We enjoyed hanging out here, and it's close to everything we came to Alexandria for. The hosts were very responsive. The upstairs unit was not occupied when we were there. Perfect spot close to everything Alexandria has to offer. We walked right in and were able to feel right at home. Our kids were safe and had room to play. Would definitely recommend and will visit again!

Cute and charming duplex! We had the lower floor and all the amenities were just as described. The beds were very comfortable which was a huge plus because I struggle to sleep anywhere but my own bed. This was the perfect home base for us during our visit with family in the area. Scott and Selena's place is on a quiet street, with a private entrance for each floor.

Then kitchen and bath are older. With painted cabinets and older sink and tub. Everything worked and it was great to have a washer and dryer available in the basement. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if we are in the area. The pictures and posting are an accurate representation of the home.

Kitchen is super well stocked for preparing meals. I would highly recommend this for others who enjoy the lake, fishing, paddle boating and sitting around the bonfire! We had a blast! Kaitlin was a great host, responded right away if anything went wrong or if we had any questions.

Picture perfect place on the lake with an outdoor fire pit and dock. Spent a few days here for a family gathering and had a great time. We had a great time this weekend at the cabin!

There was everything we needed including comfy beds, nice clear water and we even caught a meteor shower. Hope to come back soon!

Kaitlin's place is very cute! At first sight small on the outside but this cabin is very comfortable for large family. There were 5 adult Website hidden by Airbnb old It had a nice views of the lake that was 15 feet away. Hammock by the water was my favorite part! Beautiful cabin, a fun stay!

Kaitlin was always quick to answer with any questions that we had, and was very helpful! Great cabin on a very nice lake! Good views of the lake and a nicely decorated cabin with many homey features. Communication and location were both good.

The loft stairs are quite steep and a bit difficult to navigate for an older person my folks. There was a fair amount of personal stuff laid about the cabin from the owners from recent use. You'll love your stay in the vintage Airstream on a beautiful Alexandria Minnesota lake. The Airstream decor is charming and you'll love the surprisingly spacious bath! Make sure you head down to the lake and enjoy the vintage 4 personal paddle boat that's cute as can be. The property is wooded and private.

The lake is clear and perfect. Joani and Andy have a canoe, two kayaks and a paddle boat to use. The airstream trailer is cute as hell! The mosquitos this trip were really bad. It's not a problem out on the lake though, which is the place to be. Charming Airstream-type trailer located on a lake. Perfect for a couple or two friends. Have fun on the lake, bike trails nearby, very close to activities in Alexandria, and surrounding areas.

Stayed for 3 days, but could have stayed a week. Please note, you will get a view of the lake, but it is downhill to the lake and dock. Stayed perfectly dry during a heavy rainstorm. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would return. Cabin is as pictured. Hosts are very responsive and want you to enjoy your stay! This place is a total gem. It's humble and snazzy all at the same time.

Our family of four wanted to camp, but I didn't want to face unpredictable weather and endure dirt, sand, and mosquitoes everywhere. Glamping in the Avion is just the thing. A refrigerator, beautiful pots and pans, Super comfy matresses, a surprisingly nice shower with good hot water, and that's just the inside! Outside we had our own yard, our own dock with a super-efficient pedal boat that has four seats, really stable, so our kids could fish and jump off it for swimming even a ladder to get back on!

There are 2 kayaks really easy to use and a row boat and a canoe. We made good use of the firepit and a nice pile of dry wood. If you're super cool about it, you might want to ask about the trampoline Overall a great vacation for us even with 2 thunderstorms and an afternoon bowling in town, we felt really satisfied with our 3 night stay.

Can't say enough about how glad I am we chose to go glamping like this. The place was just perfect for my stay in Alexandria. I was there for work. The place was unique and had everything that I needed. I saw the most beautiful sunset while I was there.

The pictures that are shown, are exactly as is. I will be returning at the end of July, and looking forward to my return.

I would recommend this to others that are looking for something a little different, and peace and quite. Our stay at The Honey Bee Inn was great! Heidi was very accommodating and friendly. The space was very clean and quainte. We had everything we needed and more!

Very pleased with everything! I traveled with my 7 month old, my husband and his family. The property is gorgeous, the house is spacious and Heidi has everything covered from kids books to games and TV for adults. Checking in was easy and Heidi is a great host. Excellent place to stay. Would stay again anytime in the future. Heidi's place is great!

We love the small town feel. We had 7 adults and had plenty of room. We enjoyed the fire pit and looking at the stars. What a perfect cabin right on East Battle Lake which happens to be my favorite lake in the whole world! We lived on the deck, enjoying the sounds of the lake.
